Your dealer is best placed to help you, as he_she has the expertise to check and repair the entire system.

If this is not possible, please proceed as follows:

Activate the Smart.Shift system by switching on the e-bike and pressing the trigger or turning the crank forwards.

The LED on the Smart.Shift box indicates the following statuses:

Green    Everything is OK

Yellow    Minor error; see error description in the app

Red       Serious error; immediately call up the error message in the app; it may be necessary to visit a dealer

If you cannot wake up the system, check the power supply or the battery charge status and cable connection.

If the Smart.Shift box cannot be woken up via trigger, the trigger cable and trigger must be checked and possibly replaced. You should consult a specialist workshop for this.

The Pinion Smart.Shift app is required for further error diagnosis.

You can find out how to install and connect the Smart.Shift app here.

In the Smart.Shift app, under ‘Notifications’, you can see whether your Smart.Shift system has an active error or whether an update is available. You should perform an update immediately! The error may be resolved by the new software version.

The display of an active error includes a recommended solution if you can resolve the issue yourself. If, on the other hand, you are referred to a dealer, you cannot resolve the error yourself.

NOTE:

During an update, the smartphone with the active Pinion Smart.Shift app must remain in close proximity to the bike and must remain activated (screen must not shut down).
