The Pinion E-Drive System can be used with a Pinion Longlife Chaindrive as well as with

matching Gates belt drive products. Both styles of systems are offered by different bicycle

manufacturers. Switching between the two styles isn’t quite so simple, though, which is why

it has to be specifically allowed by the individual bike manufacturer.
